Silly Little Creatures
Silly little creatures. I find them to be a nuisance. One day they showed up out of nowhere and gave me quite a scare. They were in my shoes, behind my bed, fiddling in my hair and dressing in my underwear.
Silly little creatures! Humph! They are such a pain. Scribbling on my homework, messing with my games, eating my snacks, and sometimes they can be so vain.
Silly little creatures, maybe they aren't really all that bad. They help tie my shoes, pick up my toys, eat my veggies, and sometimes they make me laugh.
Silly little creatures, I must admit, I think I might like you just a little bit. When you guys wiggle, I do let out a giggle. When I'm afraid, you push all the scary thoughts away. When I feel alone, you always put on an amazing show.
Silly little creatures, sorry I found you to be such a pest. You guys really are the best!

I wrote this story as an attempt to be my first children's book that can be published. I find it to be a perfect quick read for someone in the grades 1st to 2nd. This story is in the process of becoming a storyboard so that the illustrations are mapped out. Totally excited to see the outcome!
